Douglas McDonald Resume
Douglas McDonald started his career
in professional aviation in 1965 as an instructor for
Flight Safety International in New York. He later
joined Rapid American Corporation from 1967 to 1971 as
a corporate pilot on their Jet Commander and
Gulfstream I.
From 1972 to 1976 Mr. McDonald flew
a Citation I, HS-125 & Gulfstream II for Diamond
International Corporation based on Long Island. He
also became an FAA Pilot Proficiency Examiner for the
company.
In 1977 he joined British Aerospace
[USA] as their Chief Pilot and was moved to the
position of Director-Aviation in 1982. Doug was
responsible for both corporate and airline flight
departments until 1990. They then promoted him to a
Vice Presidential position to represent the interests
of British Aerospace [USA] at parent headquarters in
the United Kingdom.
Mr. McDonald still resides in the
UK, and is now representing Vance & Engles as Vice
President-V&E European Aircraft Sales Ltd. This
allows for V&E to expand its sales and customer
service, more readily, on a worldwide basis.
