Richard E. Engles Resume
Rick Engles began his career in
aviation as a supervisor for American Airlines at John
F. Kennedy International Airport from 1966 through
1969.
Upon leaving American Airlines he
became Manager of Charter Sales for Pan American World
Airways' Business Jet Division based in New York
between 1970 and 1972.
In 1973 Mr. Engles became an
investor in -- and the Vice President of Sales for
Executive Jet Aviation of Columbus, Ohio. At that time
EJA was the world's largest owner and operator of
business jet aircraft.
From 1976 to 1993 he worked for
British Aerospace's Corporate Jet Division. During the
six-year period between 1987 and 1993, Rick was the
North American Sales Director being responsible for
the sale of 124 new aircraft representing a total
value of 1.2 billion dollars.
Following the purchase of BAe's
Corporate Jet Division by the Raytheon Corporation in
August 1993, Mr. Engles and Jim Vance formed Vance
& Engles Aircraft Brokers, Inc. Mr. Engles is the
president of that company.
